I support Sharon Bolos once again, as mayor, of West Haven. I have known Sharon for many years in many capacities. She serves as mayor with great integrity, and as far as I have witnessed, without a “secret agenda” to promote special interest projects.
She cares about the residents of the West Haven community and works hard in our behalf. We enjoy, under her oversight, recreation programs, West Haven Days and many other community sponsored events while managing the budget of the city in a responsible way.
As a lifelong resident of West Haven (originally Wilson), I have been witness to a great deal of growth. At times, I have felt uneasy with so much growth and new infrastructure that has come into our area. Sharon has been very thoughtful about the growth management of West Haven.

In November 2018, I was assigned as the Law Enforcement Liaison for West Haven City. As a newly promoted lieutenant this was a bit nerve wracking and I did not know how things were going to go. Over the next two years I got the chance to see Mayor Bolos in action and there is no doubt what she does is always for the good of the city. Her love for West Haven City and ALL the residents is unmatched. There were several late, weekend evenings I received a phone call from Mayor Bolos concerned about what was going on in the city. She on some occasions was also out watching and getting firsthand knowledge of problem areas.
Mayor Bolos has also been a lead by example person. When we started our VIPs program, Mayor Bolos and her husband were among the first to apply and get involved. From movies in the park to the pumpkin walk to the lighting festival, Mayor Bolos is always there. I admire her desire to make West Haven the best place to live, work, or recreate.

We have known Mayor Bolos since her first campaign and during her first term in office. I recently asked her what is the greatest need for the city of West Haven. Following some thought she responded by saying, “For all people to work together regardless of their differences.” We have always been convinced that she is the right person for the position of the mayor.
During her time in office she has made every attempt to involve citizens in the city. There is not another city in Weber County, or for that matter, the State of Utah, that puts on a celebration like West Haven Days and has it happen so spectacularly. The concerts are phenomenal, and the rodeo and fireworks are the best around. I heard a city councilman from a neighboring city remark, “I wish we all had fireworks like the ones in West Haven.”
Mayor Bolos has made every attempt to control growth in the fastest growing city in Weber County, along with the city council she has developed a plan to approach growth systematically and responsibly so everyone prospers. Let's all stick behind Mayor Bolos and continue to work with her.
